WestCoast Racing celebrates 20 year as a company. That is celebrated by a two-car effort in STCC, a larger GT-programme and a brand new three year deal with four time STCC-champion Richard Göransson.
“WestCoast Racing has had 20 very successful years and an important key to this is that we have always planned long term,” team manager Dick Jönsson Wigroth says. “For example we have been a BMW Dealer Team the last 15 years and we now many exciting opportunities ahead of us. It’s a strength that Richard Göransson will continue to be a vital part for us the coming three years. Richard has had most of his success together with us and for me it was obvious to continue working together.”

Four-time champion Richard Göransson never hesitated continuing with Dick and WestCoast Racing.
“I’ve been STCC-champion three times with Dick and WestCoast Racing and been European champion once. The title last year was one of my biggest triumphs and to continue this partnership was never in any doubt. There is a unique feeling of team spirit within WestCoast Racing that I see as the biggest strength of this team. Now we can build a foundation together for the next three years. My first goal is obvious, defending my gold from last year,” Richard says.

Richard Göransson will be team mate with Martin Öhlin who makes the step up to STCC after three seasons in Carrera Cup Scandinavia. In addition to two cars in STCC, WestCoast Racing will also have a GT-programme for 2011 with a long term Gt-plan for the coming years.
“It’s fantastic that we can celebrate our 20^th anniversary by starting a new long term plan and grow the team even more. WestCoast Racing now has several legs and we have great possibilities for the future in Sweden as well as internationally. WestCoast Racing is on our 20^th birthday stronger than ever and we are now building for another 20 years,” Dick Jönsson Wigroth summarizes.
